The Women's Retreat Was A Hit!
Sunday we finished up an incredible weekend at the Osmosis Spa in Freestone. What a magical setting for TSQ’s Fall Women's Cycling Retreat. There were group rides for everyone, as well as classroom modules on training, nutrition, hydration, comfort, fit, stretching and bike maintenance. Great food, people, spa services, and tons of information on cycling - what more could you ask for? Look for our Spring Retreat coming in May.
What participants are saying about TSQ’s Fall Women’s Cycling Retreat
“I just had an amazing weekend with Giana Roberge and her crew from Team Speed Queen. I learned all about cycling and very much feel like I activated my potential...really. I love how cycling is both an incredible workout for the mind, body and soul, but it also can have a nice social element. And I got to ride with the pros!”

“Thank YOU for the great retreat. You were right - it is really helpful to ride with you.”

“I started exercising again last winter after about a brief 20 year break. I’m a mom, wife, and business owner…I consider myself a lot of things, but “athlete” never crossed my mind. Yes, I work out on a regular basis and my husband insists I think more about riding than anything else, I can’t wait for my next ride, and this October our all-girls cycling team completed a first for all of us, the MedioFondo! But, “athlete?”
At Giana’s workshop, I was hungry for more information and to learn some new skills. I really enjoyed the “women’s” perspective on equipment and comfort, as well as the unique challenges for our health and nutrition. I had an absolute blast learning the basics of a pace lines. It was exhilarating and we went really fast!
At the end of the workshop, I now have a wealth of new information, new friends, and a support system of great people I trust to help me with anything I may need. But, the biggest gift Giana gave me was to see myself as an “athlete.” This is life changing... Thank you Giana and Team Speed Queen!”

“Learning and being able to get invaluable feedback from an athlete of your caliber without feeling intimidated is refreshing. You are a natural teacher and you wear it well. The TSQ Women’s Cycling Retreat and all the people that made it happen reminded me that even though many of us cycle, run, etc...because we enjoy it, we all strive to be the best we can be. Thank you for arming us with the tools to be our best.”
